38mtbk01 (M&T) - They have two non conf 30 products and want to push the better of the two based on eligibility. There isn't a way to do this as we only have one non conf 30yr fixed product available on quote service.
The only workaround mentioned was to create another user that wouldn't need tiered products. What is the number of lenders with tiered products now? How often are these products quoted? Was this requested by M&T or was it submitted for them?
Performance issues are of concern for this.
I believe that we will need to add tiered products to the ratecloud. The stakeholders will be better prepared to decide when that needs to be a priority.
For the product conf 30 yr fixed - tier 1, we have 63 investors, including subvens
For the product non conf 30 fixed - tier 1, we have 458 investors, including subvens
I used the above products b/c they are likely to be the most commonly available tier products. Note that there may be 8+ tiers for a single investor. Attached is the report containing investor names.
The work around for this is to build a separate investor file each time a tiered product is required. So for M&T we'll need to M&T investor files so Marksman will be able to look at best ex, combined with eligibility for both of their non conf 30 rate grids.
M&T has a requirement that we support both rate grids, which we can do by duplicating their investor file. This may be a confusing user experience as they only send us one file but will see two in Marksman. It will be extra work for DIG to support two investor files instead of one.
One concern that needs to be addressed when we move forward to support tiered products, because non conf products may be for specific markets that we cannot filter for due to limitations of the lead source or marksman, how do we add the tiers? Do we automatically add all tiers into rate quoting and require customers remove tiers they don't want to use for quoting? Or, do we require customers to manually add tiers they want to add to their quoting?
This becomes more an issue when/if we inject QS into the rates page.
