Currently Bank of America is targeting MSAs throughout the country to better or worsen their pricing. Because MSA is at a zip code level we have to create all of these manually, enter the adjustments manually and update them manually. Currently 3-6 hours each week is spent for one person entering these adjusments and putting Mortech at risk with no automation involved. For the past 2-3 years BAC sent files separately on Wednesday and Friday but are now looking to impact their pricing with daily updates to these adjustments. There are potentially up to 800 adjustments that could change each day with 3-4 hours of manual work. We've pushed back and advised them we can update twice a week but that does not help their long term goals.
A hackweek project was done to improve this process but needs sprint time (4-5 points) dedicated to fully finish.
We have heard that other investors (like US Bank) are also interested in this. This poses another problem as US bank is a lender in multiple accounts.
